Loreal Paris "True Match" Foundations
Loreal Paris is one of the most trusted brand in the drugstores. First off the bat, there are so so SO many shades to chose from. I love the variety of shades from cool tones, naturals, and warm tones that you can pick. There has to be a shade available in their range that is perfect for anyone. This foundation has a medium to a full coverage. It is not on the liquid side, the foundation is not runny at all, it is a medium thickness, perfect for medium coverage to full.
As a makeup artist, it is important to have varieties of shades and tones available for your client’s skin tone and I can always count on my “truematch” for that job. It comes in a glass 1.0FL bottle that is very easy to carry in a train case. One thing I don’t like is that they don’t have a pump and it gets a little messy especially when you are doing a dozen of people’s makeup for an event or wedding.
The bottles remind me of a contact lens bottle, small and easy to travel with. I love using this foundation on myself every now and then especially when I go traveling. This is a perfect bottle to take, as it is very small and compact leaving your makeup bag with room to fill.
This foundation however is not great for oil control if you very oily skin. It is okay if you have dry to normal skin. You can definitely get away with it if you touch up throughout the day to keep the oil and shine away, but oily skin friends-I would recommend something else. It does say on the bottle that it is a ‘All day wear” but after a couple black outfit changes - you will see some being transferred to your black colored clothes. If you are looking for some long wear, I recommend the Estee Lauder, double wear. I love to use that on clients if there is a perfect shade for her.
The shades I currently have (left to right) N2 Classic Ivory, C5 Classic Beige, W4.5 Fresh Beige, N5.5 Perfect Beige, N7 Classic Tan and C8 Cocoa; all have SPF 17. You can find Loreal Paris True matchanywhere from Ulta cosmetics, Walgreens, Riteaids, CVS, target, walmart and any drugstores. Price range varies based on where you live and promotions that are running ($6.50-11.99). Definitely affordable if you can find a good deal such as those bogo sales at drugstores.
